LOCAL LAW NO. 1 OF 2003
A LOCAL LAW RESCINDING A LOCAL LAW OF THE TOWN OF HANCOCK LOCAL LAW TO
REGULATE OPERATION OF SNOWMOBILES
Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Hancock, Delaware County, New York as follows: Section 1. A Local Law to Regulate Operation of Snowmobiles, adopted on November 28, 1972, whereby the Town of Hancock undertook and exercised its regulatory authority with regard to the operation of snowmobiles pursuant to article 25 of the New York Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Law, be and the same hereby is rescinded. Section 2. Hereafter the provisions of the New York Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Law shall provide the sole regulatory framework for and govern the operation of snowmobiles within the Town of Hancock. Section 3. NO SEQRA: This is a Type II Action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act. Section 4. This local law shall be effective immediately upon filing and acceptance by the New York State Secretary of State. I hereby certify that the local law annexed hereto, designated as local law No. 1 of 2003 of the Town of Hancock was duly passed by the Town Board on April 2, 2003, in accordance with the applicable provisions of law. I further certify that I have compared the preceding local law with the original on file in this office and that the same is a correct transcript therefrom and of the whole of such original local law, and was finally adopted in the manner indicated in paragraph 1, above.
